Sacred Light
A powerful and sacred blend of plants, herbs, and resins to clear away negative energies and restore harmony to your space. I was introduced to the aroma of a similar blend on a trip to Costa Rica. During a shamanic sacred healing ceremony they were burning a Palo Santo blend for it's cleansing and peaceful energies. I fell in love with the scent and it's energies and wanted to create something I could burn at home that would aid me in my meditation and spiritual practices. It is said that the spirit in the plants used in this blend are dedicated to protection, blessings, and clearing. Formerly named Holy Dust.
Holy Dust is a blend of:
Palo Santo: A mystical tree that grows in South America and is 100% sustainable. It's wood is burned for energetic cleansing and healing properties. It has been popularized for its heavenly presence in keeping energies grounded and clear.
California White Sage: This sage is considered sacred and is used for its cleansing and purifying of any negative or stagnant energies. Burning sage is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing a person, group, or space.
Rosemary: A common culinary herb that is also used widely for spiritual cleansing. In addition to its powers of purification, rosemary is thought to be a protective and healing herb. Smells wonderful when burned.
Lavender: This calming and peaceful plant can also aid in attracting positive energies into your sanctuary. It is also said to help increase awareness.
Copal: This golden resin is considered sacred to the people of Mexico, as well as South and Central America. It is a wonderful tool to use during meditation practice. It is also used to purify the energy of spaces, places, and objects.
Frankincense: This powerful resin is said to produce a heightened spiritual awareness. It's also known to enhance intuition, clairvoyance, and is ideal to use before meditation. Frankincense was once worth more than its weight in gold. Burning frankincense is thought to provide protection and purification.
Myrrh: The story goes that myrrh was one of the gifts given to baby Jesus from the wise men (along with Frankincense and Gold). The myth shows just how significant this tree resin truly is. The ancient Egyptians also used myrrh for healing, as well as spiritual rituals. It assists in clearing negative energy and illusions that stand in the way of seeing the truth.
USEFUL IN THE HOME: To cleanse and purify
USEFUL AT WORK/CREATIVE SPACE: To remove stagnant energy so fresh inspiration can come in.
USEFUL IN MEDITATION: To uplift and transcend.
HOW TO USE:
May be burned with a charcoal tablet, but it isn't necessary. I burn it in a clay pot (shown in photo). It is helpful to use a torch or long-necked lighter to achieve a good flame. Once you get a good flame, you can blow it out very gently to awaken the smoke. Blowing lightly on the glowing surface will provide the fragrant and cleansing smoke. Burn in a high temperature safe receptacle that is free of lead of other toxins. Keep away from drafts and fans. Never burn on or near anything that can catch fire.
